Fashion Island and Roger’s Gardens

This year we resumed our annual tradition of visiting Santa at Fashion Island during Thanksgiving weekend.  We missed the trip last year, so it was great to be back again.

This year’s Santa pictures turned out great.  Not only was Katie not afraid, but she gave Santa her wish list, and told him what she wanted most.  Matty did great also; he didn’t cry one bit. Smile

Wealth beyond measure.

The fog starting rolling back in by late afternoon.  The warm day soon turned slightly chilly, which was great for Christmas time.

Miss Grumpy Gills was upset about something.  Hmph!

Playing near the fountain soon turned her attitude around.  Water fountains are one of her favorite things.

We were in the right place at the right time when the late afternoon sun reflected off the building and blazed through the approaching fog.

Matthew had a great day.  Matthew always has a great day. Smile

The Koi pond is another of Katie’s favorite areas.

After Fashion Island we ventured over to Roger’s Gardens.  We love it there during Christmas, and the cool, foggy weather made it even more perfect.

This was taken at approximately 5:30.  Hard to believe that just 3 months ago, the sun would be up for a few more hours and the temperature would be blazing hot.  The summer’s heat seemed unending. Even more reason to love the weather tonight.

Wow!  Santa moved from Fashion Island to Roger’s Gardens just in time for Katie to see him again!  Katie explained that Santa didn’t have any kids visiting after we left the mall, so he took his reindeer and flew to Roger’s Gardens!  Makes sense to me.
