Apple Picking - Page 2

Good morning, sleepy head.  Time to wake up!

The front desk and restaurant building.  You’d think there’d be signs directing people to this building to check in.  Nope…not a one.  We circled the grounds for a while before finally finding someone who knew where to go.

One of my favorite pictures.

Despite being overgrown, the grounds were very nice.

The property had a few lavender fields, and a some wide open spaces.

Not to mention a few pigs.  There a sign warning us that the fence was electrified.  When we asked about it in the office, the girl said that the face hasn’t been electrified for a long time and she doesn’t know why anyone hasn’t gone out there and take it down.  Judging by the look of the resort, I can take a few guesses.

It was a very nice, and very hot morning.

Back to apple picking.  We did the most picking at Riley’s farm.  You couldn’t see anything special about it from the road, but once inside, we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was.

“Come on guys.  What’s the holdup?”

Katie was HOT.  She did great though…and drank a lot of water.

For $1 I got to throw three hatchets.  Couldn’t pass that one up. :)

One of the farms had raspberry vines as well.

Thanks for making this trip happen, Julie.  It was a great idea and lots of fun!
