This is Katie’s second summer of swim and she’s doing very well. She really enjoys the water and is kicking like a pro.
The water is a little cold at first, but we both quickly adjust.
That’s more like it!
We picked up Katie from her last day of daycare today. Malinda and Stella have been taking great care of her for the last two years, and even though Katie’s moving on to a great preschool, it was difficult not to reflect on how far Katie had come. When Katie first started daycare, she was only a few months old and still hooked up to her breathing monitors. She was fragile and tiny, and leaving her in someone else’s care was a difficult but necessary step. Fast forward to years and so much has changed. These days she talks about them by name (“Stewwa” and “Minda”) and enjoys seeing two of their three cats, Leo and Sabastian (“We-lo” and “Sabbabin").
She made lots of friends, especially Rhylie (“Rye-Rye”), and socialized with the best of ‘em. Transitioning to preschool seems like such a big step, but we know Katie will do just fine.
